An anal plug is one of the most approachable toys to start with — small, weighted and easy to wear — and in the UAE it is also one of the easiest to order quietly. This guide covers what actually separates a good plug from a forgettable one: the material, the size, the base, and whether the vibration is worth it, so you can buy online with confidence and have it land in a plain box.
Metal or silicone: pick the feel first
Whichever material you choose, the care routine follows from it rather than from the shape, and this breakdown covers what each one needs
The two materials you will meet are polished metal and soft silicone. We stock the polished-metal version, with a stainless-steel feel: smooth, non-porous and weighted, so it sits with a pleasing heft. Silicone plugs are lighter and softer against the skin. Neither is better — metal is easier to clean, silicone is more forgiving if you are new to the feel. Both should be body-safe and free of any latex smell.
- Polished metal: smooth, non-porous, weighted and easy to clean.
- Silicone: light, soft and flexible — gentler for first-time wear.
- Whichever you choose, make sure it is body-safe and has a flared base.
Our polished-metal anal plug — a wireless remote and 10 vibration modes; pair it with water-based lubricant only, because its care notes say the same.
Size and a flared base matter more than you think
| If you are new to this | Look for | Why | Avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| First plug, or unsure | A slim 2.8 cm diameter | That is the width of our metal plug (2.99 x 1.1 in) — slim enough to start on | Anything wider than ~3.5 cm to begin with |
| You want weight and a firm feel | Polished metal | Stays cool, holds weight, and needs only a rinse | Leaving it in direct sun before use |
| You want flex, or a softer feel | Body-safe silicone | Bends to the body instead of pressing (our 150 x 40 mm shaft) | Silicone-based lubricant — it degrades silicone |
| You want to keep it hands-free | A flared base, always | That is what stops it travelling — ours is 180 mm across | Anything without a base, ever |
The two we stock: a slim polished-metal plug, and a silicone thrusting plug with a dual-ring base.
For a first plug, smaller is smarter. Ours measures 7.6 x 2.8 cm with a 3.2 cm base — slim enough to wear comfortably, with a base wide enough that it stays put. The non-negotiable is a flared base: it keeps the toy from going further than intended. Skip anything shaped like a straight cylinder with no stop.
Vibration and the remote
If you want vibration, look at the mode count and the noise. Ours runs 10 frequency vibration modes through a quiet motor, with a wireless remote so a partner can change the intensity hands-free. A remote also means you are not fumbling for a button mid-wear. Keep the remote within 10 metres and start on the lowest setting.
Lubricant: water-based only
This is the one rule that protects the toy. Use a water-based lubricant — on the plug and on yourself — for comfortable insertion and an easy cleanup. Avoid silicone-based formulas on the metal surface; they can sit and film up. Water-based lubricant washes off with plain water and leaves no residue, which is exactly what you want on a non-porous metal body.
How do you charge and clean a plug?
The plug charges on a magnetic USB cable — set it on the cable and it snaps into place, no plug to line up — and it carries a waterproof finish you can rinse under warm water with mild soap. Dry it, then store it in a soft pouch away from other toys. Because the body is non-porous metal, a quick wash is all it needs between uses.
Buying an anal plug in the UAE
Ordering from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain or Al Ain works the same way: the parcel arrives in a plain, unbranded box with nothing on the label that gives it away, usually within one to five days. You pay the courier in cash on delivery, so nothing about the purchase touches a bank statement. The minimum order is AED 150, with free delivery. Below AED 150 an order cannot be placed at all — the checkout blocks it and asks you to add more items.

The short version
- Material comes first: polished metal feels weighted and non-porous, soft silicone is more forgiving on insertion.
- A flared base is the one safety feature that matters most — it stops the plug travelling further than intended.
- For a first plug, smaller is smarter. The size we list is 7.6 x 2.8 cm with a 3.2 cm base.
- Water-based lubricant only. Silicone lubricant breaks down silicone toys.
- If you want vibration, look at mode count and noise — ours runs ten modes through a quiet motor with a wireless remote.
